941cc Inline 3-cylinder DOHC Engine
Suzuki has been an industry leader in compact four-stroke designs, and the DF60A lives up to that reputation. Suzuki engineers redesigned each part and component from the ground up, applying the knowledge and technological advancements gained over the last decade to produce an outboard that is the lightest and most compact in its class.
Multi-Point Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection
Lean BurnSuzuki’s innovative Lean Burn Control System was first introduced on the DF90A/80A/70A to great acclaim. The system predicts fuel needs according to operating conditions, allowing the engine to run on a leaner, more efficient air fuel ratio. It delivers its benefits over a wide operating range, providing significant improvements in fuel economy from low-speed operation into the cruising range. In combination with Suzuki Precision Control electronic throttle and shift system, the operator can precisely, and smoothly, increase or decrease engine RPM for significantly improved fuel economy.
Tilt Limit System
Tilt Limit SystemTo protect the boat and motor from damage that can occur when tilting the motor, both outboards incorporate a user adjustable tilt limit switch that prevents the outboard from tilting beyond a predetermined point.
Suzuki Easy Start System
Suzuki Easy Start SystemThis system eliminates the need to hold the key until the engine starts. Simply turn the key once and release and the starter will remain engaged till the engine starts, much like a modern car.
Large Capacity 19A Alternator
Large Capacity 19A AlternatorThe DF40A, DF50A, DF60A and DF60AV are all equipped with a powerful 19A alternator that generates approximately 11.5A even with the engine running at a low 1,000 rpm. Under normal circumstances that's enough power to keep an assortment of marine electronics operating in most situations.
Suzuki’s Anti Corrosion System
Suzuki’s Anti Corrosion SystemSuzuki protects its outboards with an anti-corrosion finish specially developed by Suzuki. Applied directly to the aluminium surface it maximises the bond between the finish and the surface, increasing the protection and durability of parts that are constantly exposed to saltwater.
